Function of DSL

2. Asymmetric DSL : The full name of ADSL is "Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line", which is also a type of service in which the speed of data is sent upstream and the data received is called downstream. Speed ​​in and out of it is never the same. The speed found in it varies from time to time.

ADSL facilitates a large frequency range for downstream data transfers, which increases the download speed several times. The ADSL connection can deliver downstream speeds of 20Mbps and upstream speeds of 1.5Mbps. This is because most users download more data than they upload.

ADSL uses a special modem and microfilter in the customer's telephone line. Thanks to the filter, connection and telephone service can be used at the same time. The word 'asymmetric' in ADSL actually means faster than uploading the download.

If you use ADSL, your PC is always connected to the Internet. As long as the modem, router and A computer are enabled, you automatically have an Internet connection. Unless you manually disconnect. Difference between ADSL vs VDSL

The Very High Bitrate Digital Subscriber Line or VDSL / VHDL is an improved version of ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line). This is one of the technologies that we can use to connect to the Internet. They apply in a different way.

Therefore, you cannot use one technology tool for another technique. The main difference between the two technologies is speed. With ADSL you can get 8mbps as upload speed and maximum download speed of 1mbps. VDSL can upload up to 52mbps for download and speeds up to 16mbps.

Due to the excessive speed supported by VDSL, it is seen as a good future technology for use applications requiring a high bandwidth. Think about HDTVs, which cannot be supported by ADSL.
